Principal Mike Brewer of Broken Arrow Elementary School has been an educator for the past 28 years, having served as middle school teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. “As a principal, I set high expectations for my staff and my students. My staff and I work hard to make sure our students meet their growth targets and are reading above grade level by third grade,” said Brewer. To help meet those targets, Brewer is developing a collaborative PLC culture at his school. Teachers are developing common formative assessments to help inform their instruction.
