Hear from Grant Recipients
“We think that the use of learner-centric assessment will benefit our students and teachers in our effort to increase achievement scores for all students, with an emphasis on our ELL and disabled student populations. Historically, these groups of students have not scored as well on state assessments, and we think that with the support of Naiku’s Innovative Teacher Team Grant, we will see improvement in our assessments results and long term positive benefits for our students.”
-Mr. Patrick Heath, West Gate Elementary, Prince William County Public Schools
“I was so excited when I heard our school had received the grant award – when I told the rest of the staff, they burst out in applause. The English teachers recently met and planned a common assessment. Creating the assessment went smoothly and I believe it will be received well by the students, because they can access it on their personal devices both in and out of school. We are very thankful for the support we receive from Naiku and look forward to a great year!”
-Dr. Vickie Cummings (Wilcox), Nashville Big Picture High School, Metro Nashville Public Schools
